IMPORTANT: International Money Transfers to Brazil

Please be advised and note that the following changes have been applied with regard to money transfers to Brazil.
1.Cash Pick-Up at Banco do Brasil no longer available
We terminated our Cash Pick-Up service at Banco do Brasil as of May 31, 2020.
We are sorry for your inconvenience, but please pick up remittances at other receiving locations than Banco do Brasil.
2.Temporary service to deposit money into bank accounts in Brazil
(1) In the wake of the widespread of coronavirus infections, remittances now can be deposited into recipient accounts at all banks in Brazil.
* This is a temporary measure provided as part of efforts to deal with the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil. Note that the service will be terminated and bank-to-bank transfer no longer available once the infections are brought under control.
(2) The money sent shall be received in the receiving bank account as per the following conditions:

- Receiving currency: Brazilian real
- Applicable exchange rate: Rate at the time when the money is deposited into the receiving account
- When remittances are received, they are subject to a tax of 0.38% of their original amount received.
- Receivers must be aged 18 or over.
* Some conditions, such as those for the amount to receive, may vary by bank. We kindly ask you to contact The Western Union Company's local call center (WU Call Center, see below) to confirm them in advance.
