How to Open a Bank Account

  1. STEP

    Download the "Seven Bank International Money Transfer App".

  2. STEP

    Take a photo of your ID and My number

    Prepare your Residence Card and My Number (If the applicant is a foreign national).

  3. STEP

    Enter your personal information and your receiver information.

    Tap "Open an account" button of mobile app and dial the Contact Center for free.

  4. STEP

    And your application is complete! Receive your cash card in about 2 weeks.

    Take photos of the requirements and provide necessary information to the Operator. Your application is complete!

  • * If you are a U.S. person as defined in the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA),
    we need to check matters regarding your U.S. tax liability under FATCA,
    so you cannot apply for opening a Seven Bank account from here.

( 002 ) According to the contents of your application, you have already opened a savings account. We can only provide one account per person, and we cannot accept new applications.

We cannot continue to process your application because the information that you have entered does not match the details on your identification documents.
Please check the following information below and apply again.

Check List (Please confirm the information below)
Name・Address・Date of birth
  • The current name, address, date of birth on your Identification documents are written correctly.
  • Not applying at the old name and old address.
  • You must enter correctly the name, address and date of birth as indicated on your Identification documents. (For Driver's license, It's possible to apply if new address is registered at the back.
Nationality・Others
  • Correctly select the same nationality as the Identification documents.
  • For foreign nationals, it must be at least 6 months after entry.
Sender's name
  • You must enter the information of the same person as the account holder.
  • You must not entered the exact same information in your First, Middle, Last name.
  • You must enter the First, Middle and Last name correctly as indicated on your Identification document.

* If above does not apply, Please confirm also the information in ( 005 )

We cannot proceed with the opening of account because there is some inadequecies regarding the receiver's information you have entered or it does not meet our company's terms of conditions.

Receiver's Information
  • You must not enter the same information in your receiver's First, middle and last name.
  • The relationship with the receiver must be correct. (Common mistakes, 『Cases where the relationship is the card owner but the name is different』,『Cases where the relationship is other but the name is the same as the card owner.』)
Source of funds
  • If you select other, the details must be entered correctly.
    (Common mistakes are cases where someone else's money, sales, details other than the funding source have been entered)
Purpose of remittance
  • You must not enter details about commercial or investment purposes, remittance of other people's funds and anything other than remittance purposes.

We cannot proceed with the opening of account because the identification documents (ID) that you have provided does not meet our company's terms of conditions.
Please check the following information below and apply again.

Check List (Please confirm the information below)
Name・Address・Date of birth
  • You must enter the correct information (There is no mistakes in spelling or notation)
  • For japanese citizen, You must not enter alphabet name on the Kanji name field.
Identification documents
  • Requirements such as Name・Address・Date of Birth・Expiration date・Issuer's seal and My number must be complete. (Currently valid)
  • If there is an expiration date, it must be within the expiration date. (For residence certificate, it must be within 3 months of issuance )
  • Identification documents must be complete and no missing uploads.
  • The details of the uploaded Identification documents must be clearly readable.
  • The entire uploaded Identification documents must be shown. (Not cut off)
    * Especially in the case of the Residence certificate, Please make sure that the entire image is clear.
Sender's name
  • You must enter the information of the same person as the account holder.
  • You must enter the First, Middle and Last name correctly as indicated on your Identification document.
Nationality・Others
  • Enter the nationality correctly.
( 006 ) We cannot proceed with the opening of account because there is some inadequecies regarding the information you have entered.
Please check all the contents of ( 002 ) ~ ( 005 ) above and re-apply again.
  • * For customers who want to make bank to bank transfers to China or Philippines, please check the list of available receiving banks, and prepare the following: 1) Receiving Bank name 2) Account Number of receiving bank 3) Telephone Number of the receiver that starts from 1 (for China only).
